      Jerry Bruckheimer is a famour film and television producers. His TV works includes CSI, Cold Case, and The Amazing Race. His film work includes such hits as The Rock, Con Air, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, Pirates of the Caribbean and the National Treasure films; to name just a few.

    • Gina reveals that Joey felt like he could jump off the roof and fly after seeing Superman.

      Superman is a property of DC Comics, and is considered one of the most popular super heroes in the world. The first movie came out in 1978, featuring Christopher Reeves. The movies tagline was 'You will believe a man can fly.' The movie sparked the occasional injury of children trying to jump off the roof and fly, which still occurs from time to time.

    • Zach says that he happens to know where Jeff Bridges gets his dry cleaning done.

      Jeff Bridges is a four time Academy Award nominated actor best known for his roles in The Big Lebowski, Seabiscuit, and most recently the smash hit Iron Man; to name just a few. He is the son of actor Lloyd Bridges and the brother of actor Beau Bridges.

      Jessica Alba is a famous actress best known for her breakout role in Dark Angel and for playing Sue Storm in The Fantastic Four movies. She was voted AskMen.com's #1 most desirable woman and Sexiest Woman In The World by FHM.

    • When Alex is giving Joey things to help him understand her, among them are the complete works of Edith Wharton and an episode of Judging Amy.

      Edith Wharton is a prolific author who was the first woman ever to win a Pulitzer Prize. Among her celebrated works are Ethan Frome, The House of Mirth, and a collection of poems entitled Verses; to name just a few. She has far too much published work for all of it to be in the small box Alex hands Joey.

      Judging Amy is a popular drama starring Amy Brenneman and Tyne Daly. It focused on the lives of a female judge and her social worker mother. It aired from 1999 to 2005.

    • Joey thinks Billie Holiday was a man and Alex had to correct him.

      Billie Holiday is an American music legend, born in 1915 and having passed away in 1959. She had a deep smoky voice which only registered just above one octave. She has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She was a prolific singer from the 1930's to just before the time of her death.

    • Alex says that Joey said she looked like a young Meg Ryan.

      Meg Ryan is a prolific famous actress who has been in many hit movies (Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally and You've Got Mail) and is known for her youthful baby face.

    • Kevin Smith says that Joey's performance about the dog was the worst he's ever seen, and he's directed Ben Affleck.

      Kevin Smith has done many indie projects, and Ben Affleck (who has made some hit films and won an Oscar for Good Will Hunting) has made cameos in many of them.
