Joey says that he will do something he has never done before. While he is dating Sara he will not see any other women. However, Rachel said on Friends that Joey had really changed, and the whole week they were going out he didn't date anyone else.
Joey's date with Sara in this episode is VERY comparable to his date with Rachel in the season 8 episode of Friends, "TOW Joey Dates Rachel". The exact same "moves" are used.
Joey: Hey, Michael. Look, its Sara out there reading. Ah well, every diamond has it's flaws.
Joey: I really do. In fact, I like her so much, I'm gonna do something that I've never done before. I am not gonna date any other women until I see Sara again. Michael: You're going out with her tomorrow. That's like, twenty-four hours. Joey: I know. That's three very disappointed ladies. …
Sara: Hey. I just wanted to stop by and thank you for all the Philly cheese steaks you sent over. I think 30 sandwiches is gonna last me a while. Joey: I know it sounds like a lot, but cheese steak is a very versatile snack. Lunch on the go? Cheese steak. Tired after racquetball? Cheese steak. Can't find a baby gift? Cheese steak. Sara: Well, I really appreciate it. Joey: Hey, neighbor across the way, does something nice for you, you wanna say thank you… Joey & Sara: (in unison) Cheese steak!
Joey: trust me, it'll help. When I first moved in, I had a big problem with Michael's snoring. But then we talked about it, and it got better. Michael: Talked about it? You put cotton balls in my nose and duck taped my mouth shut. Joey: And we worked it out.
Gina: Hey. How is it having Eric back? Alex: Oh, it's great! It's good. It's a challenge. It's hard.
Joey: Whoa, sexy new underwear there, huh? Alex: You can tell? Joey: When I was a kid, I wished for a super power. That's what I got. So what's the special occasion?
Joey: Wait, wait, wait. I didn't even compliment your eyes. Sara: I know. My father must have been a thief because he stole two stars from the sky and put them in my eyes. Joey: I did not know that one. That's good.
Jennifer Coolidge (Joey's agent) does not appear in this episode.
When Alex is telling how her husband answered her crossword for her by revealing that it was Ally McBeal, Alex says that she herself is a spunky lawyer and she knows who Ally McBeal is. Later he says that she missed an easy one, pointing out that it was the Sesame Street character Cookie Monster. Ally McBeal is the story of a young lawyer (Calista Flockhart) and her life, loves, and job. It was on from 1997 to 2002 and focused on the personal lives of the characters, often filtering the story through the legal proceedings on the show. Ally McBeal was indeed a spunky blonde lawyer, much like Alex. Sesame Street is a hit children's TV show that combines entertainment with education. It has been on since 1969 and is the longest running children's show in American history. Its characters are muppets created by Jim Henson, one of which is Cookie Monster. Cookie Monster is the large blue muppet with a passion for cookies. Though cookies are his favorite, he is often seen eating just about anything.

Joey says that part of his moves is having one of his famous 'friends' send over a bottle of wine, like Bobby Duvall or perhaps Celine Dion (Alex's favorite singer). In the end he said that Alan Thicke and Lou Diamond Philips sent the wine. Later Sara turns the gag around on Joey and offers him some wine compliments of Vanilla Ice and Tom Skeritt. Bobby Duvall refers to Robert Duvall; an Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe winning actor.
