    "Great"
This was Joey's first Christmas episode. Joey keeps on being the same - he can't get used to the fact that there is no snow in Los Angeles and that it's hot in Christmas, so he tries to make the best out of it. His list of wishes are hilarious.

The guest character Lauren (played by wonderful Lucy Liu) was also very great. She's just not normal with her constant need for everything to be clean and without jerms.

It's bad that Bobbie was not here.moreless

    • It is said that Joey has always confused elves with gypsies. However it was shown in season 1 of Friends that Joey had a job as one of Santa's elves at the mall during Christmas time. At the New Year's Eve party, the girl he brought even said that it was the first time she had ever mentally undressed an elf. Edit
    • One of the things Joey asks for when he calls Alex over in the middle of the night is jelly. It was well established in several episodes of Friends that Joey loves jams and jellies. Edit

    • Lauren: (to Joey) So, let me introduce you to the cast. This of course is Katie, your daughter. Katie: Hey sexy, we still need to get that drink. Lauren: You two won't be sitting next to each other. Edit
    • Alex: Joey it's late. What is the tenant emergency? Joey: Oh, I swear, it is important. It is so warm in L.A. that I am not feeling the Christmas spirit. Alex: OK, my beeper is for emergencies, OK? It is not for talking about holidays. Or when you're in a hot tub and you can't reach a towel. Or when you're out of jelly. Joey: But you brought the jelly, right? Alex: Yes... Edit
    • Joey: Can I dress your cat like a reindeer? Alex: No. Joey: I'm sorry... May I dress your cat like a reindeer? Alex: No. Joey: OK! All right... When do you freeze the hot tub for skating? Alex: Never! That's impossible! Joey: Impossible, or hmmm... possible? Edit

    ADD ALLUSIONS
    • Michael and Alex both say they wish they were Oprah. This is a reference to Oprah Winfrey, one of the most successful women who has ever lived. She has a hugely successful talk show and her own production company, Harpo (which is Oprah backwards). She is frequently on the Forbes list, not only as the richest woman but also one of the richest people in America. Her worth is estimated to be in the billions. Edit
    • Joey says that Christmas trees are his favorite thing about the holiday except for Rudolph. Joey is referring to the Christmas Claymation cartoon Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. It is about an outcast young reindeer whose nose can light up red. He is made fun of by his peers for it, but ends up becoming the hero when he helps to guide Santa's slay with his nose so bright. Edit
    • Gina says that people will think that Days of Our Lives guys is homeless because Joey is wearing a heavy coat. Joey played the character of Dr. Drake Ramoray on various episodes of Friends. Between the end of Friends and the start of Joey he was killed off again and moved to L.A. Days of Our Lives is one of the most successful and longest running soap operas on TV. It has been on nearly every week day since 1965, and has more than 11,000 episodes. Edit
