      • When Gina is talking to Joey about counting cards, she says that she is Victoria from England and she thinks she is talking in an English accent. Throughout various episodes of Friends, Joey had difficulty speaking in different accents as well, thinking he was using one dialect when he was really speaking in another. Edit
      • When Bob Saget is thrown out of the pageant, he says 'nice speech Gloria Steinam'. Gloria Steinam is a popular American feminist icon. Edit
      • On Joey's Magna Doodle: Lilies and a hummingbird. Edit
    • Notes

      ADD NOTES
      • Spoilers indicated that Michael's 21st birthday was the reason that Gina brought him along, but it appears as though that storyline was changed before the episode aired. Edit
      • Sopranos co-star Steven R. Schirripa becomes the first cast member of Drea de Matteo's former show to appear with her on Joey. Edit
    • Quotes

      ADD QUOTES
      • Gina: (to Michael) Oh my god. You have been lying to me and doing shady things in Vegas? I have never felt closer to you! Edit
      • (in Las Vegas) Joey: What's going on? How come more people are recognizing you than recognize me? Michael: All right, fine. I come here, okay? A lot. Gina: You do? Michael: Yes, I come here with a bunch of my friends from Cal Tech to play blackjack. We.. we count cards. We win a lot of money. Joey: Oh my god, Michael's interesting! Edit
      • Gina: Joey, it's just a beauty pageant. Joey: (gasps) You bite your tongue. You are talking about the Miss Southwest-something-something-something. Gina: Wow, didn't know you were taking it so seriously. Joey: Well, yeah. This is a big step for me, you know. It says I'm a part of the community of celebrities, you know. It says that I can be trusted to judge fairly. Gina: It says that Corbin Bernsen dropped out last minute. Joey: It does say that. Edit
    • Allusions

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • One of the women in the casino asks Joey if he was on Days of Our Lives. Joey played the character of Dr. Drake Ramoray in various episode of Friends. Between the end of Friends and the start of Joey, he moved to L.A. Days of Our Lives is one of the longest running and most successful soap operas on TV. It has been on nearly every week day since 1965, with over 11,000 episodes. Edit
      • Gina says that Joey got the judging gig because Corbin Burnsen dropped out at the last minute. Corbin Burnsen is an actor most famous for his role on L.A. Law. He has also been in several other TV shows. Edit
      • Michael tells Gina about the code, working a US president into the conversation. Then he mentions Garfield, and Gina says 'Cat, hates Mondays, lasagna!' This is a reference to the famous cartoon character created by Jim Davis. The characters of Garfield (an overeater who loves lasagna and hates Mondays), his owner John and the dog Odie hold the world record for the most widely syndicated comic strip. It has spawned several anthologies of comic strips, several television specials and 2 television series, as well as 2 hit movies and 3 direct to video CGI movies. It pulls in nearly 1 billion dollars annually in merchandising revenue. Edit
