FOX (ended 2003)

How can we get a second season, or a movie to finish the series.

Is there something we can do to get a second season, or maybe a movie to finish the series.

Maybe start a petition or a e-mail campaign. Then deliver it to the people in charge.

If they had a TV Network that just buys shows that other networks cancel after 1 season but still had good ratings, i think it would be a success.

Yeah...a nice finishing movie would be nice. What a great series...and phenomenal season/series cliffhanger.

Is there anywhere I can read what the writers were going to do to explain the last episode????

I think a movie would be good. But the idea of a network that picks up cancled shows with good ratings would be the best thing on the planet! If it existed and they bought John Doe and made a second seaon I would be in heaven. The online petition most likely wouldn't work. But I loved the show and would really love to know how it ends, even if it's just to read what happened. I wondere if they could start a book (book series) that goes on to explain or further Doe's adventures.

Dominic is doing Prison Break right now so a second season is very unlikely unless they replace him.  A movie might be possible though.  Firefly got Serenity and that only had half a season aired and out of order.  John Doe could get one.

That or a book or comic would be cool.

Sorry, but you guys are already like three years late, the show is long dead, for a while, the then FOX Entertainment President Gail Berman considered to make a tv movie to wrap the show, but she decided against, so I guess the chances of anything John Doe happening is between '0' and '0.001'.

If you wanna find out at least one answer about the show, then read: http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/1,1002,271|82358|1|,00.html

But the thing is, is that John Doe is canceled and KyleXY started on ABC Family.  KyleXY is very similar to John Doe.  The same thing happened with Tru Calling.  It was canceled and then Ghost Whisper started.  And I personally think that both John Doe and Tru Calling were much, much better than the shows that seem to be following their story lines.

The fact that FOX owns the rights to the show means that we will never, EVER see a conclusion to the show.  FOX is notorious for ensuring that the shows they cancel stay dead and unresurrectable except in extraordinary circumstances.  Take, for example, Firefly; despite the relative success of Serenity FOX absolutely refuses to sell the TV rights for anything less that roughly triple what any sane network would pay for them.  It is only absolute miracles -- Family Guy and Futurama being the only two -- where a former FOX show doesn't wind up not only dead, but burned, buried and with the earth around it salted. (Metaphorically speaking)

The only hope we have of a conclusion to John Doe is either another, un-contracted medium for release (like a comic book) or every executive at FOX dying in a fire.

I find it very strange that this show got cancelled. Very good, very intense and as has been said the cliffhanger at the end of season one was huge. So annoying to not have it continue.
