I read the books a few years back and I loved them. It was wacky with a complete mess up of time and reality. THe adaptation was good - not quite perfect but then I'm a fussy book lover.
The slight changes in plot were fine with more but sadly I felt they lost some of the wacky humour from the books. Dep-ite that.
I would love to see the BBC go back and make an effort at the first two books in the trilogy - though I think they did once do Johnny and the Dead about ten years ago but I never saw it and the ratings it had are very poor. But I say reuse the actors here and take a stab at it again!moreless
