Johnny and the Dead

Show Summary

Johnny and the Dead is a British TV series that started airing in 1995 for the first time. The show in the style of comical fantasy is based on the novel "Johnny and the Dead" by the British author Terry Pratchett. The story is believed to be derived from the real events that took place in Westminster in 1980s, when three cemeteries were sold as a building site. The main character, Johnny Maxwell, discovers his ability to hear and talk to ghosts. Ghosts hunts down Johnny when they discover this ability of his. Especially when they hear that their cemetery is going to be sold, they become quite uneasy and pester Johnny to help them to stop this. Johnny just doesn't know how to fight the unstoppable force of Policy of Commerce. But it is almost Halloween time, and the ghosts are determined to do anything to get their resting place back.
