  • Quotes

    • Basil: Okay, now tickle that tomato. Yeah, that's it! Yeah, now more! More! Come on. Go, go!

    • Basil: I give up! (singing) This is gonna be the worst Spritesgiving Day we ever had. It's gonna be bad. (He faints.)

    • Basil: A purple cucumber? Tastes like dirt! It's an outbreak and it spreads really fast! So I want you all to search my garden.

    • Basil: Aah! Blue tomato! Oh, uh. It smells like onions --- and tastes like pinecones! I'm afraid these plants have the forgetful fungus!

    • Basil: It's not a time for viewing things, it's a time for doing things.

    • Basil and Fuzzies: (singing) Spritesgiving Day is here / It's time to celebrate / Good friends from far and near / Come on this special day!

    • Basil: (singing) Everyone has a job, so hop to it / We're running out of time, but we can do it. Oh, oh!

    • Root: Hey, hey, no time to yakkety-yak. Let's go!
Lily: You're right, Root. We shouldn't be stopping to talk when the feast is starting now. Come on, let's go!

    • Ginger: On Spritesgiving, we give thanks for everything, including our friends!

    • Tina: (singing) T is how you tripped on things and you always fell.
Johnny: Thanks goodness I outgrew that.
      Tina: Yeah, right.

    • Basil: Wow, I wish Sprites had sisters. They look like fun.

    • Tina: You would get the maple syrup right out of the bottle and then you would hide the empty bottles in my sock drawer.
Johnny: Sock drawer. Yeah, I know. Mom must have thought we were pretty crazy, huh?

    • Tina: Tickle bug. Tickle bug. Somebody's got a tickle bug. I can't believe it. You still fall for that.

    • Johnny: (singing) S is for the shows that we would see at the fair / I is making igloos in the snow / S is for the soda pop she never would share...

    • Johnny: (singing) What exactly is a sister? Hmm, well, let me see. It's not easy to explain the way we're bonded like glue.

    • Ginger: Hey, is something special going on?
      Lily: Hmm?
Johnny: Yeah! Well, my sister Tina's coming over for dinner and I want everything to be perfect.
Lily: Uh, Johnny, what's a sister Tina?
      Basil: Oh, sounds quite exotic.
Lily: Yeah, where did you find it?

    • Root: Grow big, tomato, grow big.

    • Basil: When Root talks to vegetables, they can get very, very big.
