Johnny Bravo

Season 2 Episode 1

Bikini Space Planet / Moby Jerk / A Gel for Johnny

Aired Monday 12:00 PM Jul 02, 1999 on Cartoon Network

  • Trivia

    • Goof: In A Gel For Johnny, Johnny's bill at the $1.03 store was for $14.63, which would be inconsistent with the store's policy to charge only $1.03 for a product. There was no way Johnny could have purchased 14.2 products from the store.

Also, Johnny pays only $12 for this, mentioning to Minsky he can keep the change (even though the bill was not fully paid anyway), handing only four bills. That would mean in the Johnny Bravo universe, there are 3 dollar bills.

    • Bikini Space Planet marks the first appearances of Carl and Pops, both of whom will become trademark characters and regulars later on in the series.

    • A Gel for Johnny is the only episode where Johnny had a name for his hair gel.

    • Bikini Space Planet marks the first time Johnny travels in space and/or arrives on another planet.

    • Look Hard: The bird that is sitting on the ship captain's shoulder during Moby Jerk keeps changing during the episode, from a parrot to an owl, flamingo, and even a bucket of chicken nuggets.

    • Goof: Johnny's hairnet keeps disappearing and reappearing throughout A Gel for Johnny.
