- The movie Johnny and Carl were thrown out of at the beginning of the episode Chain Gang Johnny was called "Hoevenna Skol", and according to Johnny it was a "boring 7 hour black and white documentary on moody Danish people".

- At the beginning of Lumberjack Johnny, Johnny mentions he has spent all day sitting on his butt watching the Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network is of course the TV station that originally aired the Johnny Bravo series. Johnny Bravo was their second original series created.
