At the circus, inside the lion's cage, Johnny is trying to show us kids how to tame a lion. He has a whip in his hand, and keeps hitting the floor around the lion with it.
A narrator is heard, telling us to remember that the most important thing to do when taming a lion, is to not turn your back on it. Johnny stops what he was doing and looks towards the audience, to agree with the unseen narrator and add his own comments. As soon as he does this, the lion grabs him by his neck and swallows him, then burps.
The lion is next seen sitting relaxed, with his belly full, picking his fangs with a toothpick. Johnny is heard from inside the lion's belly, and he lights a match so we can see his silhouette from inside. He starts screaming "Hey!", and is surprised by his own echo.
