Bungled in the Jungle marks the second appearances of Jungle Boy, King Raymond, and all the other jungle creatures first seen in "Mr. Monkeyman". Bearly Enough Time marks the first appearances of Bunny Bravo (Johnny's mama), and of Chronos the Bear.

- During Bungled In The Jungle, King Raymond captures Johnny into a trap by luring him with the new Vendela calendar. Vendela will later appear on the show; she is a supermodel and a talk-show host on which Johnny has a crush on.

- Bambi: At the beginning of the episode Bearly Enough Time, during the various shots of the forest, we can see a young deer and a white rabbit bumping his foot on the ground. This is an allusion to the 1942 Disney animated movie Bambi, and the characters seen are Bambi and Thumper.

- Bungled in the Jungle: - Title The title of this episode is an allusion to the song Bungle in the Jungle by Jethro Tull.

- Here's Johnny!: In Bearly enough time, when Chronos catches Johnny Bravo in the woods, he says "Here's Johnny". This is an allusion to the famous line said on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and to the famous 1980 movie The Shining.
