The Sensitive Male
As the episode begins, we find Johnny hiding in the bushes in a public park, spying on a chick that's siting on a park
bench reading a book and drinking a soda. Johnny comes out from the bush and stands in front of the girl. He takes off his shirt and asks the girl if she finds him as manly as the statue of David. The girl drinks all of her soda and then spits it in Johnny's face, then gets up and leaves.
As she is walking away from Johnny, a short, stocky, bald guy with a flower in his hand appears in front of her. He admits that he is terribly shy, but cannot miss the chance to ask her out on a date, if she would be kind enough to go out with him. The girl is impressed, and appreciates the guy's feelings. She agrees to go out on a date with him, and gives him her phone number. She leaves, but not before giving the short guy a kiss.
Johnny, who has witnessed this scene, comes towards the short guy to find out what is his secret. He just can't understand how a guy like him could get a date with that chick, and he, who is a lot better looking, couldn't. The short guy tells Johnny that he only has to be a little more sensitive, and the girls should be more attracted to him. He starts
singing various lyrics about "sensitivity". Johnny still doesn't understand, and the short guy agrees to give him a few lessons about sensitivity.
His first lesson is about which words he should use when talking to a girl. By singing yet another song, the short guy
tells Johnny that words such as "thank you", "please" and "pardon me" are some of the words that make a guy seem more sensitive. He then sends Johnny to try it out, on a chick that is standing in front of a wishing well. Johnny uses the correct words, but in a wrong way, which makes the chick throw a coin into the wishing well, wishing for a horde of water buffaloes to stampede all over Johnny. The short guy appears next to Johnny after the last water buffalo has left, and tells Johnny he did it wrong, and that was not supposed to happen. Johnny raises his head and only manages to ask him to get back his teeth, which fell near a shoe store, before passing out.
Next we find Johnny and the short guy in a malt shop, observing a chick drinking a milkshake at the counter. The short guy asks Johnny how he would handle this situation. Johnny comes up with one of his many pick up lines. The short guy tells him that if he would use a line like that with the girl, she would probably just pour her milkshake down his pants. He then tells Johnny that he's just too masculine, and he should get in touch with his feminine side. Another song follows, and Johnny agrees to try and get in touch with his feminine side, just this once. He does it wrong however, by going up to the girl wearing a pink dress. The girl just stares at him, shocked, and then starts laughing and runs away. Johnny is confused as to what he has done wrong this time. He turns around, only to see two sailors looking at him, believing he really is a girl. One of the sailors tells him that "she's" cute, and that they are on shore leave. Johnny excuses himself, and beats up the two sailors off-screen, before leaving the malt shop.
Johnny's final test is to go to a chick who has a puppy in a baby carriage and start a conversation with her. The short
guy sings yet another song, about how Johnny should concentrate on the details. Johnny does so, and while talking to the chick, who is still unimpressed after Johnny compliments her puppy, he leans on the handle bar of the baby carriage in which the puppy was, and accidentally pushes it down the hill. Johnny runs after the carriage, believing that if he'll save the dog, the chick will be happy to reward him by going out with him. As he is running after the dog, he still finds time to stop and stare at two other girls in a car. The baby carriage with the puppy inside falls off the bridge, but at the last moment, the short guy appears and catches the puppy. The short guy is seen returning the puppy to its owner, and the girl is so happy that she offers to go out with him in return for him saving her puppy. Johnny appears between them, and asks if he can come along too. The puppy hits him on the head, resulting in his head being flipped upside down.
In the end, Johnny tells the short guy that being sensitive just isn't for him. The short guy admits that he never said
that, while being sensitive, he ever meant anything of what he said. He says that he'd tell a girl he's able to turn led
into gold, if she would go out with him. He is juts careful to always say it in a clear, sensitive way. Johnny tells him to
look behind him, and the short guy is surprised to see that the three girls he just got a date with during the episode are there, and have heard everything he said. He tries to plea temporary insanity, but he is tied to a pole and carried away by the girls.
Bravo Dooby-Doo
The episode begins with Johnny trying to fix his car that broke down on the road, during the night. He hears another car
approaching and tries to hitchhike. The car that stops is none other than the Mystery Machine, with Scooby-Doo and the
gang inside. Johnny tells them that his car broke down on his way to his Aunt Jebedissa, and he doesn't want to be late. The Scooby gang is still staring at him, and aren't at all impressed by his story, until he mentions that his aunt lives on top of the hill, in a spooky mansion. Then the Scooby gang is excited, and let Johnny inside the Mystery Machine.
Once inside, Johnny keeps staring at Daphne, annoying her. He then looks over at Velma, who apparently has a crush on him. Velma assures Johnny that he doesn't have any reason to be afraid of her, she doesn't bite. Johnny then asks if Daphne bites. They arrive at Aunt Jebedissa's place, and get out of the car. They arrive at the front door, and Johnny knocks. The doors open by themselves, with a screeching sound. Scooby is scared by this and jumps in Shaggy's arms, trembling. Johnny sees this, and jumps in Daphne's arms. Daphne just throws him on the ground.
The gang enters the mansion, and start looking for Johnny's aunt. Seeing that they cannot find her anywhere, they decide to split up and search for her. In the meantime, Shaggy and Scooby find a pantry and wonder if there's any food inside. They open the door to uncover the Ghostly Gardener, who scares both of them. They run away, and bump into Johnny and Velma, knocking both of their glasses off. While Velma is looking for her glasses because she can't see without them, Johnny is looking for his because he can't be seen without them. Velma accidentally puts on Johnny's sunglasses, while Johnny puts on Velma's glasses. Velma believes she has gone blind, until Johnny switches their glasses back to their right way. He then threatens Velma never to touch his glasses again.
With the gang reunited, Fred is about to open the door to the pantry again, to see if the ghost is gone. He opens the door, and the ghost's gardening tool falls out from the pantry, once again scaring Scooby enough to jump into Shaggy's arms. Johnny tries this again, with Daphne, but with the same result. They do however notice that there is flour on the gardening tool's handle, thus realizing that it's not a real ghost. Once again, they realize that they should split up and look for clues. After several failed attempts at "getting lost" with Daphne, Johnny ends up being teamed up with Shaggy.
They start from the kitchen, where they encounter the Ghostly Gardener once again. He starts chasing after them, all around the mansion. Johnny and Shaggy try to trick the ghost by hiding in apple barrels or inside a picture on the wall, but without success. They end up bumping into Scooby and Velma, with the Ghostly Gardener now chasing all four of them. They all fall into the wheelbarrow the ghost was pushing, and fall down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, there are Fred and Daphne. Seeing this, Daphne gets scared and jumps into Fred's arms.
The wheelbarrow crashes, and Johnny is thrown on top of the chandelier. The ghost keeps chasing after the Scooby gang, until Johnny falls alongside the chandelier on top of the ghost. The ghost is trapped by the chandelier, and now the gang can unmask him.
What follows is a series of masks the culprit wore underneath his Ghostly Gardener mask: Bigfoot, Don Knotts, Joan
Barbera, to name a few. In the end, the culprit is revealed to be none other than Johnny's own aunt Jebedissa! Johhny is confused as to why his aunt would do such a thing. Aunt Jebedissa explains that she just simply doesn't like Johnny, and that he is a disgrace to the family name. She was trying to scare him away, enough to make him never come back to visit her ever again. She also complains about how she would have gotten away with her plan, if it wasn't for the Scooby gang, "those meddling kids". The Scooby gang feels bad about what they have done, and ask Aunt Jebedissa if there isn't anything they could do to make up for this.
In the end, the Scooby gang is seen tying up Johnny to a tree, and leaving him there. They leave with the Mystery Machine, alongside Aunt Jebedissa, who is now seen flirting with Shaggy. Scooby-Doo opens the back door of the Mystery Machine and gives his trademark "Scooby-Dooby-Doo!" yell. Back to Johnny, he is complaining about how the rope he is tied with is burning his pectorals. Yet another car approaches him, this time it's none other that Speed Buggy, who offers to give Johnny a ride.
