Characters seen during the A Page Right Out of History segment include: Fred Flintstone, Wilma Flintstone, Barney Rubble, Betty Rubble and Mr. Slate, all from the original The Flintstones series from the 1960s; Perry Gunnite, the detective featured in the "Love Letters on the Rocks" episode from 1961; and teenage Pebbles Flintstone and teenage Bamm-Bamm Rubble, along with their friends Moonrockand Penny, introduced in the 1970s in various episodes of The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show.
John Stephenson is the only cast member from the original Flintstones series from the 60's to reprise yet again his role as Mr. Slate, Fred Flintstone's mean boss.
Wilderness Protection Program marks the second time Johnny actually dates an animal. The first time this happened he dated Carol the antelope in the episode Date With An Antelope.
The title of the episode A Page Right Out of History is a line from the opening theme song of the 60s Hanna-Barbera animated show, The Flintstones.
