00 – Johnny – Definitely one of the best episodes of the entire show. For 10 minutes of animation, they managed to fit in so much great writing, I don’t know why they didn’t do episodes like this more often. IT was great to see a deeper storyline, with Johnny and his sisters and their trust issues with each other and, of course, their coming to trust each other at the end. It was also a good action episode, with a lot of scenes of the bad guy winning, even eliminating Mr. Black and Mr. White from the equation relatively early. Great ending as well, with everyone turning into cats, giving us the idea that maybe this time, everything won’t end well like all shows usually. A very great episode, well written and plotted out and not a moment of boredom.

Johnny of the Jungle – Another great one. Interesting way to mix in Johnny’s sisters into the episode, without ever really getting their old story. The flow worked really well, but Johnny’s big goal for the episode seemed like it would just be going on the trip and not being caught, only to turn into something else, though the change to saving the animals made for a more exciting collection of scenes than Johnny and Dukey trying to keep their cover. The end worked well too, coming back around to Johnny trying to not get in trouble with his dad and the creators even did a good Feris Bueller-esque ending with Johnny arriving back home just in time to not get caught. Overall, a fantastic episode, probably one of the best the series has ever had. Grade ; A+moreless
