  • Not the best episode, but an OK one.

Johnny and the Mega Roboticles – This was a very different episode from usual, but it was nice to see a slightly different style. It felt like a little too much time was spent on playing with the first robot and not enough time was spent on bringing the evil robot to life. It seemed like they almost forgot about Johnny original goal of getting the evil robot when they had him play with the first one for so long, and even got his sisters to upgrade it, twice. Nice touch bringing the small toys in for the demonstration with the static animator, then beginning them back to become the turbo toy force later on. The episode wrapped up nicely as well, with Johnny getting another destructive toy and never learning his lesson.

Johnny gets Mooned – This one wasn’t that great. It had some order to it early on, but it only led to Johnny and Dukey fighting moon aliens while Susan and Mary were bothered by the secret agents. It was too convenient that the girls had built a spaceship on the same day Johnny needed one, and that Johnny and Dukey could win the fight with the moozies because “here, we’re superheroes”. It was nice to see the paper airplane come back into play, defeating the mega moonzies, though.

Overall, a decet ep, but not the best. Grade : C+moreless
