It's good for me in that I can play "catch up". I'm watching any Season 2 episodes that currently air on TLC, but I haven't seen any Season 1 episodes.

I didn't think this would be out on DVD, but hey why not?

They are playing all the episodes weekdays twice a day (check local listings). They are also doing the previous week's ep on Monday before the new one, Wednesday marathons, and on weekends periodically. Of course, I'm buying the dvds to have in my collection, but this show is on a lot now.

Yeah, I agree. I'm going to try and get the DVD's though, because they seem to just play the same episodes over and over again. Like Jon and Kate's Special Day.

They are repeating the same episodes. I hope they will give more "behind the scenes" or "cutting room floor" on the DVDs.

Yeah, the price will be much lower.

    Only $14.99 @ Amazon.com

    Comes out Sept 9, 2008

I want to see the DVD, but I'm not paying $34.95 + shipping for it. I'll just wait. They play reruns all the time anyway.

    Ok...now I'm confused.

Does the Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht, Seasons 1 - 2 (2 discs) DVD set that is released on Sept 9th include all the episodes for Seasons 1 & 2? I noticed it doesn't says complete on the DVD. Is that an indicator that it is just various episodes for each season, but not complete?

The reason I ask is because it looks like they sell a Jon & Kate Plus 8 The Complete 1st & 2nd Season (4 disc set) for more, however it looks like it comes on DVD-R discs.

They also sell Jon & Kate Plus 8 The Complete 1st Season (2 DVD Set) and Jon & Kate Plus 8 The Complete 2nd Season (2 DVD Set)

It is the complete seasons. It just that recently studios have been not including the complete part of the title, because just it case they had to edit something out, no one can get mad because it doesn't say complete on it. Even though some companies still put complete on it. This studio doesn't put complete on it. It it complete though. Otherwise the would call it "Best of Seasons 1 & 2."

    Source: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Jon-and-Kate-Plus-8-Seasons-1-2-Retail/10099

The source shows all the episodes that are included on this set.

Looks like it is not the complete seasons 1 & 2 after all.

It is missing "A Day at the Zoo" and "Hit the Road".

Those are probably not included because they probably included with season 3. Sometimes (very rarely) when studios put shows on DVD their production order are different then the list we have here. So, if we were to see a season 3 dvd or seasons 3 and 4 dvd, I bet these episodes would be on it.

I'm saying this because they are at the bottom of season 2. If they were in the middle of season 2 or season 1, then I would say too bad they won't be included at all. But because their the last 2 episodes my theory is probably correct.
