This episodes shows a clip of Jon and Kate on their wedding day, reciting to each other the vows that they had written themselves.
In this episode, Jon and Kate revealed that out of all their children, Mady and Alexis are put in time-out the most, while Hannah and Cara are there the least often.
Until this day and this episode, none of the Gosselin children had ever eaten lunch alone at a restaurant with Jon and Kate. Even before the sextuplets were born, and they just had their twins, they never did anything like that.
Jon and Kate originally made a rule that their daughters couldn't get their ears pierced until they were much older. However, they made an exception for Mady, since it was something that she obviously really wanted.
In this episode, Kate revealed that out of all eight kids, Mady looked forward to her Special Day the most. She literally counted down the days and was really excited about it.
In this episode, Kate acknowledged that out of all the Gosselin kids, Leah has an especially close relationship with Mady and Hannah.
In this episode, Jon and Kate are asked to predict what they think their kids will be when they grow up. Here is how they answered:
Aaden: A zoologist, "hands down"
Collin: Professional football player, engineer, or pilot
Joel: Model, because he's "always into himself," and "into beauty and glamour"
Alexis: Skydiver, "something daring and scary", Jon and Kate believe she will be the one to "dabble" in a lot of different things
Hannah: Mother and/or teacher
Leah: will just be "a cute little girl" for the rest of her life
Mady: President of the United States, because she "always seems to be on the political side of things"
Cara: Possibly an artist, but no matter what, she will be "responsible"
We learn that the girls' middle names (Faith, Joy and Hope) have been chosen as they are "fruits of the spirit" while the boys' (Jonathan, Thomas and Kevin) are named after males in the family - Jonathan after Jon, Thomas after Jon's dad and Kevin after Kate's brother.

A few years after this episode aired, Kate's brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Jodi Kreider, revealed that for this episode, the Gosselin kids were told that it was Christmas morning when it really wasn't. They did this to get the footage for the episode and capture the kids' natural reactions. Kevin and Jodi said that the kids were "upset and confused" when they were eventually told the truth.
