  • Yes, I know! It's plot elements are now out-of-date.

Not only because a WWI veteran of any nationality would now be closer to a hundred-years old. But, also because the Andean giant condor is currently an endangered species! Well, that; plus the fact they really don't grow as big as a bi-plane, in real life. I think the largest-known specimen is no more than twice the size of a golden eagle; tops. However, they did have a prehistoric ancestor who could grow pretty big. Argentavis terribilis (the Terrible Argentine Bird). According to the Discovery Channel, that species had a twenty-foot wingspan!!! A true monster of the air, if ever there was one.
  • A very odd episode that comes out of nowhere.

This episode begins with the Quest Team flying in the Andes. Their plane begins to have some difficulties and they land at this castle in the mountains. There they meet the mysterious Baron von Froelich and his mute servant. If this premise isn't odd enough, the episode eventually leads to a dogfight between Race and the Baron in the sky above the castle.

Despite the strange premise, the episode works surprisingly well.

An interesting side note, Baron von Froelich, along with some other one-shot villains, was originally intended to appear as a hologram in the 'Real Adventures of Jonny Quest' episode "Race Against Danger." This idea was, however, eventually scrapped.
