Having really only seen Alan Thicke in Growing Pains, I didn't know what to expect but boy,did they get in right. He is by far, my favorite character on the show. As soon as I saw him as the dancing Nazi I was sold. I look forward to every episode so I can see what eccentric things he gets up to. What to you think?

Alan Thicke's character is very similar to the character that Kevin Nealon plays in Weeds. Both have smaller supporting roles but everything that they say and/or do are usually the funniest things in the show. I don't know about you but when I first saw the show that was my first impression of the character. But all in all I agree he plays the part perfectly.

Alan Thicke STEALS the frigging show as the Anti-Jason Seavers, Jim Jarlewski. The guy is a perv, a cheater, loves drinking Gatorade and Rum (the new milk and pepsi!), ballroom dances with Asian Mafiosa and just plain rocks the show. What I find interesting is that this show has elements of "Everything's Gone Green" in it, but then again, the book jPod was written BEFORE E-G-G so some might argue E-G-G was like a pilot for the jPod TV show. Lotta common elements--older brother real estate agent, parents running a grow-op, and of course the MAJORLY HOT Step Song! WHOO HOO!!!!

he's perfect, but he refused to read the book, claiming "nothing against the author, i just dont read books!" i don't think it's much of a stretch for him to play a washed up actor. and he really needs to brush up on his "drunk" acting. he's mormon right?
I love how DC incorporates him into all the bizarre scenes though!
