  • When a man whom Judge Deed sentenced to twelve years is released on parole he is determined to get his revenge.

    8.5
Several years ago, Mr. Justice Deed sentenced a young man to twelve years imprisonment for rape. When the man is released on parole without having served his entire sentence, he is determined to get his revenge and the judge, naturally is his number one target.

Although angry and frustrated when the ex-convict continually turns up wherever the judge seems to be and is abusive (but well within the law) there is little that the judge can do about it in spite of his annoyance. Things take a nasty turn for the worst, however, when the rapist turns his revenge up a notch and goes after Deed's daughter, Charlie, determined that the man who put him away will know the same sort of suffering that he himself endured in prison.

A riveting episode where the good judge is torn between anger and a degree of sympathy for a young man who has been behind bars for several years.

  • Deed responds with an appropriate sentence to a man found guilty. Deed experiences emotional upheaval protecting his daughter from someone who's out to get him through her. See his character developed into one of a caring father.moreless

Love this show because it shows his humanity - one who doesn't merely sit on the bench untouched by human frailities, emotions but capable of tender fatherly instincts. We want fathers who are protective & caring of their own. We see him wrestle with his sense of right & wrong - here is a judge who isn't so complacent & arrogant in his own perfections but one who considers his own weaknesses & come out the stronger as it enables him to empathise with one he has to pass sentence. He shows compassion & justice which is what we all wish in our judges.moreless
