  • A good ending for a wonderful series with many of the elements that made it great. They could have continued with the story? Yes but it would have never been the same.

It's always sad when you sit down to watch the last episode of oe of your favorite TV series. Tht happened to me last Friday when I did turn on the TV to watch "My Name is Amy Gray" (yeah, in Spain all the series come delayed). Anyway, not being the best episode of the season, it was a good ending for it and for the series, besides it included many of the elements that made "Judging Amy" as great as it was for example the dinner scenes, the arguments, specialy between Amy and Maxine, and the touching cases episode by episode. We knew Amy was going to leave the court so it was more or less clear that maybe that guy who wanted her to give an speech at the Senate would appear, but we didn't know Maxine was going to explode once again and go against the rules of her job. What I liked to see was Maxine trying to save her relationship with Ignacio and what Donna tried to make Amy change her mind. It was great to see Bruce in the final scene as well and his phrase "You called me".

From what happens we could think that Amy would becomea candidate for the Senate and Maxine would retire from work so they could have followed with the series but, of course, it would have never been the same without Amy and Maxine's work cases which made me think pisode by episode.
  • So hard to say goodbye...

My feelings about this episode are torn and they are not objective. On the one hand, it felt like an appropriate series finale. Amy went off on a new career hoping to right the wrongs of the Juvenile Justice system. Many of those who had been waiting for her to united with Bruce could rejoice in the implied evolving relationship at the end. The family dynamics were as usual hectic and yet fulfilling. It was, by all accounts, a solid series finale. I, however, felt like it all came about much too quickly. I was of the camp that loved her with David. That may have had something to do with my teensy crush on Adrian Pasdar but I also just really liked their on-air chemistry. I never saw it between her and Bruce. When the miscarriage happened, I didn't think they would take anything other than a break. The rush to break them up, the rush to Congress...it all felt a bit forced and was a bit disappointing. That may have had something to do with the late cancellation or maybe was intended. Nonetheless, solid but sad...

I thought that this was a wonderful episode but i did not think that it was a good ending to the series. I was happy that Amy decided to quit her job as a judge because it did not make her happy anymore. I was surprised that Maxine was not that supportive of Amy's descision to quit or to run for sentor. I was shocked that Luaren was so supportive of her mother when Maxine was giving Amy a hard time I was not excepting that from her. I was really happy that Amy called Bruce and that he showed up to watch Amy talk to the Senate. I wish we got a chance to see Amy as a Sentor.
  • The end of Judging Amy...

I think it was a good episode. But it's a shame that it's the end of Judging Amy. I think they did a good job with this episode, because it really looks like an end. It isn't like other episodes, that I want to know how it goes further. It's an end without questions. I'm only wondering where David is? It's very sweet that Bruce came on the end! I didn't expect that.. I also like it that Maxine and Ignacio are together again. I really thought it's the end of their relationship!

I wish there was a next season!
  • This series shows very strongly the importance of a wellbalanced and loving relationship between a mother and her children. That, in spite of the differences in opinion they may have, they remain connected on a strong foundation.

This episode brings out the importance of allowing juvenile offenders the chance to be rehabilitated.

Juveniles are not adults and with encouragement and opportunities to turn their lives around they can and do change and become responsible citizens.

Incarceration in adult prisons is not the answer.

In dysfunctional families a weak mother figure is very often the underlying cause of guilt and low self esteem in children. These two factors are often the reason children become involved in gangs and become career criminals.
  • I felt it was flat, for the end of such an amazing show.

I have seen pretty much every episode of Judging Amy, and I just feel that the series finale could've been something more special. I don't recall whether they knew the show was cancelled at the time this episode aired, but I think it deserved a better season finale. I think it was important for Amy to go in a different direction with her life, but the way that they led up to it in this episode was pretty uninteresting. I think it could've used more screen time for other popular characters besides Amy, like Vincent, Peter, and Bruce (who was only in it for a few seconds). I do like the way the show ended (with Amy giving her own speech).

What a true disappointment! \"Judging Amy\" was one of the few shows I enjoyed watching. This note is the only way I know to express that. Hopefully enough people will do the same and we can bring it back. At least have a series finaly !!!!!!!

So lets go fans ,lets flood this site with requests to bring back \"Judging Amy\".

Ummmm, I heard its the end of Judging Amy?!?! They can\\\'t just cut a show like that without telling people... Can they? Or at least they shouldn\\\'t I\\\'ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for it to come back on this season because I made sure it said Season Finale not \\\"Series\\\" Last season.... So why is it gone? I miss that show.... I know tons of people who loved that show.. So why is it due to low interest. Especially when all they have on these days is CSI. Theres way too many of that from every city, thats annoying.... I loved Judging Amy, it was better then all these real life shows that bore me, argh!!! I hope they start it up again.
