Loved the scene when Gillian decides to give up Ned. I felt like she was standing in front of King Solomon. I really respect the strength Gillian showed in the decision to give up Ned without a fight...a fight that would only extend the time they had to bond with Ned. She did what was right for the child.
On a companion story line, Gillian makes the Gray family face their use (or abuse) of alcohol. This story touches more families than a loss of a child. We have watched the Gray family consume many bottles of wine. Now the writers are discussing the abuse of alcohol. Well done.
The dancing mother is a nice balance to this episode.
