Julia Child: Cooking with Master Chefs takes you in the kitchen with Our Lady of the Ladle, Julia Child, and one of contemporary cooking's finest chefs. Child, who became an American icon for introducing French cuisine to the American public with her celebrated recipe books, hosts the show and visits 16 master chefs from around the world. This PBS cooking series ran from 1993 to 1994, bringing viewers detailed demonstrations of recipes and cooking techniques from two passionate culinary experts. The sixteen episodes include a visit to Emeril Lagasse's kitchen in New Orleans for a lesson in Big Easy crawfish boils. Child also travels to Berkeley, California for a session with Alice Walters all about the California Regional Cuisine her restaurant, Chez Panisse, is famous for. Jeremiah Tower prepares some mouth-watering chicken and vegetable dishes, and Amy Ferguson-Ota pairs papaya and banana with seared Ono and curry from her home kitchen in Hawaii.
