For those who don't know Spanish, that is what the title means. I think the writers were playing on the fact we have a regional restaurant chain down here called "El Pollo Loco" (The Crazy Chicken) but I'm not sure as I've never gotten the chance to ask.
My first job in the business was on this series as a Production Assistant and I came in during the latter half of the first season, and stayed through most of post on the first season before I was promoted and moved over to Extreme Ghostbusters. This was the first script I ever got to read. And I couldn't understand for the life of me why they would use the title except for the giant chicken who shows up at some point in the story, but the story's not really about the chicken.
Then reading the summary here, I kind of got it after... oh, a decade. Because of the bully's storyline, it's all about fear (being a "chicken") and bravery and how being in Jumanji turned the tables on that. That's the bigger statement.
Still don't know why they chose Spanish though for the title. Maybe because it sounded better?
