Junior G Men is a film serial distributed by Universal Pictures and starring Billy Halop, Huntz Hall, Gabriel Dell, Bernard Punsly, and Ken Lundy. The plot follows the exploits of a motley crew of rough-and-tumble boys who must collaborate with the FBI to track down scientists- including the leader's father- who were kidnapped by terrorists. The kids also collaborate with a group of crime fighters called the Junior G Men, the series' representation of a real-life anti-crime organization whose members were children and teenagers. Each episode of Junior G Men was about 20 minutes long; twelve episodes were filmed. Over the course of the series, the street kids, FBI agents, and Junior G Men traveled the world, infiltrated terrorist cells, ran spy missions, rigged booby-traps, and often found themselves in potentially fatal situations. This charming serial is filled with edge-of-the-seat action and adventure, and has been consistently popular since its first episode was released in 1940.
