Episode Summary

EDIT
Fed up with Maya and Nina's constant bickering, Jack asks Maya to throw Nina a birthday party as a goodwill gesture. Maya tries her best to be nice, but Nina's relentless barbs push Maya to her limits. Also, Finch claims that Elliott's success with women is entirely due to his glamorous job, so he comes up with a bet to prove it: Elliott must pick up women, same as always, except he must do it under the pretense of a different job title assigned to him by Finch.moreless

  • Tired of the constant bickering and sniping between Nina and Maya, Jack puts the latter in charge of throwing the former's birthday party.

Ever since Maya's pre-first day at Blush, she and Nina never really saw eye to eye. In fact, they never got along. They were always bickering and sniping at each other. Jack was tired of the bickering and sniping, and because he expected more from Maya, he put her in charge of organizing Nina's upcoming party. Of course, Jack's demand was met by frustration from Maya, but she did it.

During the party, Maya really saw another side of Nina. The two had a moment. Nina called Maya lucky. She told her that she was full of passion and ideas, and that the best of her days are still ahead of her. She also said that if anyone wanted to see the best of her days, they had to turn to a 20-year-old issue of Cosmo. Nina and Maya made up and become friends!

The night was spent with the two hanging out and enjoying each others company, and ending at Maya's apartment.

This is definitely one of my favorite episodes because of the relationship between Nina and Maya. A part of Just Shoot Me! are the friendships. There's Finch and Elliot, Jack and everyone, and now Maya and Nina. This was a very touching episode. It also shows that despite the bickering between Nina and Maya, they will always be friends.moreless
