Marie is neglected at a dance until a she runs into a boy she really likes. Unfortunately, her sister don't find him attractive and get Marie to break off the date with him to go out with a guy they set her up with - the guy who snubbed her at the dance.
Marie quickly finds out that looks are what matters to her. I think Wendy, Cindy, and Connie could have used this lesson. Marie as the oldest is set apart as more grown up, as she learns to make the "right" choice in the end.
At one point Marie says she's not going to win any beauty contest, which made me think she could use a self-esteem boost. But all in all, a good episode.moreless
