Between JL and JLU, which theme thing in the beginning do you like better?

The JLU theme just has more of an energetic feel to me. So I'd go with that one. Even went to the trouble of copying it onto a cassette.

Yeah, welcome back! Maybe now, with most of us here again, we can resume the JL/JLU tournament...

I liked the JLU one more. But the banjo version of the original that was played in the episode 'The Once anf Future Thing' (1) was cool.

JL. JLU was too cheezy, IMO.

JLU's gets me pumped. JL's doesn't. The terrible 3-D doesn't help it either.

I agree! I always get excited when the JLU theme song plays

Oh, come on! The majesty of the JL theme leaves the JLU theme with all its electronic riffs in the dust!

Pfft. Slow-paced synthetic orchestra doesn't match awesome guitar riffs.

Are you serious? Especially about the "awesome" guitar riffs? I'm sorry to say that I've heard way better guitar riffs than the lucklustre ones in the JLU theme.

That was me exaggerating for humorous purposes. Neither are great themes at all, but given just how horribly bland JL's is, I'd pick JLU's, if only because it has some energy to it.

    ... Horribly bland?...

Well, I was charged by it when I revisited the show on DVD after a few years.

Everybody'd entitled to their opinions, though JL was bland at all, IMO. Epic, I would say....

It's the kind of theme that I'd just love to skip over on the DVDs. It's slow and just doesn't sound as epic as it could have. Perhaps it's the absence of an actual orchestra. B:TAS's theme is in a similar style but it just sounds so much better and I've never skipped over it on a DVD.
