In the episode, "The Once and Future Thing: Weird Western Tales (1)", Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern chase a time-travelling thief (Chrono) into the past and team up with some local "superheroes" of the era to deal with an outlaw who has used the thief's futuristic technology to take over an Old West town. (ANd get back the Chrono suit.)

One of these local heros, is EL DIABLO, who very much resembles ZORRO. With the black cape, whip, and black stallion. And I was wondering, if that really is the legendary Zorro?

    Real Identity: Lazarus Lane

Voiced By: Nestor Carbonell Lazarus Lane was an expert at gun fighting and using the whip. In 1866, he was left for dead by bank robbers then was struck by lightning, leaving him in a coma. An Apache chief named Wise Owl prayed next to Lane's body. What followed was Lane's spirit becoming corporealized or solidified. As El Diablo, he roamed the western frontier fighting crime with his whip.

ok Thanks. So he is Lazarus Lane. But i was recently watching one of the commentary's on JLU and one of the producers even jokingly remarked, that their El Diablo strongly resembled Zorro. Because , in the DC comics, El Diablo didn't dawn the cape or whip like Zorro, or the black stallion. (All notable trademaarks of the Legendary Zorro, and not El Diablo)
