Doomsday was a much better Graphic Novel than animation, IMO. The changes they made sucked.

Superman looked 100 years old, Lex Luthor has a square head, and the voices are all different. Superman dies in Lois' arms and she cries like she lost her cell phone, not the love of her life and Earth's greatest hero.

It looked like it was rushed together without a whole lot of oversight. I never once felt drawn in to it - just more like a video game.

Some of the animation was very good, but not all of it.

    I was disappointed.

Like someone else said - Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker was done much better. Better story, better animation, and the voices were consistent to what I expected.

    I wouldn't buy Doomsday again.

Too bad - it had such potential.

Best Buy and Circuit City are the best places to purchase it. I've even seen it at Target.

Got mine off ebay. BTW, pretty stupid to have a "RIP" for Chris Beniot accompanied with a photo of Booker T (or in the King Booker personna).

Come on, the guy's a fan. Plus I'm not completely sold on Benoit doing it.

Back to the topic at hand. I saw Doomsday and yes, I noticed changes. I think Adam Baldwin was a great voice Superman second to George Newman and better than Tim Daly. I do think they should have included Steel and Eradicator even thought they couldn't use Superboy at all. But it was a good summary of the Death of Superman series and we get to see the reaction of people when they see the big boy scout waist someone.I liked it for what it was because after all the other grand changes in comics to cartoon or film, I expect things to be different. But I'd recomend watching it.

It's not stupid at all. It called fan appreciation. Look it up sometime.

Back to the matter at hand, I don't know too much about ebay. I've tried that and It was atrociously high prices.

eBay isn't too bad. You just have to be wary of the sneaky shipping costs. Seller will try to get over by ripping you off on the shipping charges. Some will even charge you for handling which is preposterous. They can handle deez nuts! Anything over $4.50 is BS for a DVD.

That's pretty much everybody's problems, even though I still haven't seen the movie yet.

It makes his face look like the Autobot insignia. The lines were supposed to make him look aged, but he ended up looking like a puzzle.

I was all excited when it first came out. Purchased it the first or second day they released it. Got it home and watched it,..... And wasn't that thrilled with it. Haven't watched it since then. It just sits on my shelf collecting dust.

That actually was Kevin Smith voicing the character. The mechanical spider that Toyman used was a nod to something he spoke about in an evening with Kevin Smith. I was hoping they would cover that in the Superman/Doomsday commentary, but they never got to it.
