If one thinks about it hard enough, it seems that several things in this episode contradict the events of "The Savage Time." Savage didn't seem to be a public figure in that episode, but Audrey mentions Savage's "grandfather" in old news reels. The League changed history (or WW2 Savage changed history, and the League changed his changes) in "The Savage Time," so it's a little unclear - but is the World War II people now remember the same as it was before Savage initiated his plans and the League went back to stop him? Was there ever a World War II where Savage didn't exist as a Nazi wannabe conqueror, a history before his future-self sent back knowledge to his WW2 self? The impression from "The Savage Time" was that the League altered time and future-Savage never helped WW2-Savage, so apparently WW2-Savage still played a significant public role in WW2. But it's kinda hard to tell - aren't temporal paradoxes fun?
