Why does Sapphire keep thinking the giant monster is Rex, after she's clearly seen the real Rex fighting it?
As Metamorpho has destroyed the chem-monster and Sapphire runs to hug him, look at Metamorpho's waist. The blue part of his trunks disappears and only the black part of his trunks are left. It's about 2-3 secs long.
Green Lantern: Learned anything? Hawkgirl: Yeah, don't hit it with an energy mace.
(facing a monster on a skyscraper) Rex: What I wouldn't give for a couple of biplanes right about now.
Simon Stagg: (to Metamorpho) Fun science fact. All chemical reactions stop at sub-zero temperatures - even yours.
Wonder Woman and Flash do not appear in this episode
Rex: (to Java) Not this time, Flintstone.
Fred Flintstone was a cartoon character created by Hanna-Barbera and the star of the hit animated TV series The Flintstones. Java looks like a caveman, thus the comparison. The Flintstones is also a staple of Cartoon Network and Boomerang.
Monster: King Kong
The part where the monster goes on the skyscraper with Sapphire is an homage to "King Kong." As is the quote about biplanes.
