  • Wonder Woman feels homesick... oh wait i said that already

So where were we? Superman and WW have just had a scrap (accidental) and have met up with Bats Flash and Johnn.

It appears Faust is a powerful sorcerer who plans to open the gates of Tarturus (the pit of lost souls) and End The World. The League go back to Paradise Island, where Faust frees WW's mother - to use her as a ritual sacrifice for The Lord Hades. A fight ensues with The God of Hell but the League are victorious.

another top-notch episode with some good Greek Mythology and some nicely animated scence. i loved this episode and watch it over..

The Justice League must stop the sorcerer Felix Faust from using the artifacts to release the mad god Hades from the underworld and doom mankind. “Paradise Lost” never made my top five favorite episodes of the first season of the series but certainly has its moments. The episode effectively spotlights Wonder Woman and offers a plenty of emotion and action. Susan Eisenberg really showed off her voice talents here. Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm’s Street), Susan Sullivan (Dharma & Greg) and John Rhys Davies (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) provide the voices for Felix Faust, Queen Hippolyta and the god Hades. Flash’s wise-cracks and light-hearted attitude never seizes to amuse me. The battle between the Justice League and Hades’ army of the undead is my favorite scene in this episode. Seeing J’onn phase through the attacks and Batman throwing his explosive batarangs was quite cool. Overall, the animation was good but there are a few flaws including a rehashing from the STAS episode “Speed Demons”. The ending was moving and well played out.
