In Memory of Deputy U.S. Marshal Derek Hotsinpiller 1986 - 2011 Deputy U.S. Marshal John Perry 1062 - 2011 Justice. Integrity. Service. Both were the first on-duty U.S. Marshals to be shot to death since 1993. Derek Hotsinpiller was shot in West Virginia on Feb. 16 and John Perry in St. Louis on March 8.
