  • Don't miss this show. ... Especially this episode.

    10
A beautifully paced drama is a rare thing in this day and age. Justified brings it in every possible way though. A smooth mixture of letting the viewers get to know some characters and watch others change all season has come to an exciting but smooth conclusion. While many people (I'm sure) will find this show a slow action series (try to find a preview without a gun, I dare you), it is in fact, a drama that happens to have a lot of action, and no episode shows it better than this carefully building finale. This episode isn't about who shoots who, it's about who loves, wants, hates, forgives, respects, and trusts who.

The best show on TV shouldn't be missed, and this is it.moreless
  • Great show, great finale

    10
I have really enjoyed watching this series unfold. I came to it late, actually, after having finished The Shield, and seeking more Walton Goggins (who put in such a blindingly good performance in that excellent show).

When I stumbled across Justified, I was doubly pleased to see Michael Olyphant in it as lead, having seen him in another favourite, Deadwood.

This show has all the right combination of long arc, weekly subplots, developing characters, great acting and writing and good local cinematography to be a winner.

I love the interplay between the character and how Raylan is starting to show more depth and anger as the show progresses. He's not the steely confident guy we first meet at the start. One thing which also impressed was the way in which Goggin's Boyd and the general plotline left me wondering if he was truly a "changed man" until very late in the series. And the payoff was all the more satisfying for the long wait.

I'm not sure why this show has been relatively poorely received by TV.COM public, but I for one loved it and welcome series two with great anticipation. It's an intelligent, deep, balanced, well acted, written and directed show which deserves a long run.moreless
  • This episode took my breath away and also made me cry.

    10
Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) fascinates me. I first saw this actor in The Shield and have loved his work ever since. The ending of the season finale made me cry. The way Boyd speaks and strings his sentences together just cracks me up.

"Who you looking for Raylan? Osama Bin Laden? I'm pretty sure he's not here." Love it.

Timothy Oliphant is just gorgeous, inside and out. As Raylan Givens he brings a quiet anger to the show, just like he did in Deadwood. I love the way he walks and the way he takes command. Fast on the draw too. Rewound one piece of this episode twice as I missed the action, it was so fast! Gotta give this episode a 10 like most of the episodes to date. Sadly, Australia has not picked up this show, yet!

It's great when you see the 'baddies'get their just desserts. Justified is well named and is now up there in my TOP 10 favourite shows.moreless
