While Hank is at a grocery store, he sees to suspecious people nearby. he notices they have gun with them. When they see Hank (with his police uniform on) they get scared and run. Hank chases after them then gets in his car and follows them. While firing at the bad guys, he is shot and looses his eye sight. The doctors said it can be permanent or temporarily, but are not sure. Hank decides that he is going to leave the police force because he doesn't know how long he will be blind for. There are flashbacks, that flashback to the first episode (Boy Meets Dog), where he first joins the police force and meets Rudy.

While Hank (in the dark) goes to get a drink, he opens the door to discover that his eyesight is back. Takes him a few moments to realize that his eyesight is back. After he regains his sight, he has to reinserted into the police force.
