It's not a good day for Richard when he receives a telephone calling telling him that his department at the local council wishes to cut down on staff and that he is one of the people slated for early retirement. He realises only too quickly that early retirement from his council job means only one thing - that he will have to spend almost all his time with Hyacinth - and this news is enough to practically put him in a catatonic state!

Meanwhile, as usual, Hyacinth is concerned only with herself and deems it necessary to showcase her musical talents to a very wary, terrified and unwilling Emmet! The result of all of this is a brilliant episode of British comedy at its very, very best. Take a look, you'll be glad you did!moreless
