  • We all know how much Hyacinth loves country houses and anything to do with the aristocracy so it's hardly surprising that a country house sale is right up her alley!

With eyes and ears at the ready at all times, Hyacinth Bucket never misses an opportunity to mingle with the upper classes, most particularly the members of the aristocracy, as often as possible so therefore, she is delighted when she learns that there is to be a country house sale and insists that she and Richard attend.

With good reason, Richard is somewhat reticient about this because he is well aware of his wife's penchant for opulence and luxury and expensive things in general. He is worried that she completely wreck the budget by buying something far outside of their price range but is ill prepared for her purchase of vintage wine which she ends up consuming just a little too much of with the Lord of the Manor!
