  • Leo struggles to get the phone he swiped from the doctor and then struggles to get a connection. He finally gets a call through to his parents, just as Otto comes in with his food and takes the phone. Schroeder is caught; his wife brings him cyanide.moreless

Best episode yet. Leo works so hard to reach the doctor's phone; who else would have thought of digging through the mattress to get to the phone he couldn't reach because of the handcuffs? And when he accidentally sets it off, he's smart enough to pretend to be sleeping when Bellows comes in to check on the noise. My favorite part was when he finally gets it working, gets a call through, and Otto comes in at the same time. Leo doesn't get to talk to his parents, but most revealing, Otto hides the phone from Bellows, not telling him what Leo did; I'm sure he figured that Bellows would have just shot Leo for it. And Leo's done a great job of getting Otto to care about him and protect him, whether the guy wants to, or not. Otto is mad enough to hit Leo, though, to punish him. Schroeder is caught, plainly because Knapp and King are both working the case from different backgrounds: King's FBI whiz-bang stuff, and Knapp's street smarts. The scene at the end where he figures out the Cain's house is bugged, and it turns out to be bugged in EVERY single room, with the filming literally revolving around Ellie Cain, was pure cinematic genius.moreless
  • One of the best shows this fall, yet it still only gets 13 episodes.

I love this show the acting is great and believeable, I just can not believe it is getting axed. But this episode was I was so pissed that Leo didn't get to say anything when he finally got the phone top work, aND IT Is KooL TO SeE oNE OF ThE KIDnappERS LooKING OuT FoR ThE KiD so the other does not5 kill him. I really want to find out who the new lady is she took out two FBI agents and it looked like there was no blood so shes good. I really like how the story is so big like the bad guy saID it's maze inside a maze built inside a maze it is so try.moreless
  • Kidnapped just keeps getting better.

Amazingly complex episode and far more entertaining than alot of the dross that is on television. The acting is superb and the characters believable. The storyline is heating up and showing there is more and more to this kidnapping than meets the eye. The layers of this kidnapping are many, one doesn't know how many may be involved, or who lies at the heart of it..and no one may..it is an enigma wrapped up inside several riddles, with Knapp and King being played as pawns. It is suspenseful and clever on all levels. The show has some terrific writers and ace actors. Leopold still handcuffed, hidden away in who-the-heck-knows-where, Mexico...trying to phone his parents on the now dead doctor's lost cell phone...and Turner got nothing on the call. Devere who was Schroeder is now caught and in custody...and everyone that is involved in this elaborate kidnapping are like the character in The Jackyl, they can do or be someone else. They are willing to kill themselves to ensure their scheme continues to unfold in this kidnapping. Someone, somewhere is very connected and has plenty of money to keep this proceeding. I don't want to give it away..I want everyone to watch this show..it is one of the best I have ever seen. You watch it from the beginning, don't make assumptions that it is like Mel Gibson's movie Ransom and/or Denzel's man on Fire, you may be very surprised, you will be entertained, I promise.moreless
  • This is the best show on TV for my money. Great complexity of story line and you never doubt the acting for a minute.

This is an awesome show. Without a doubt the best on TV. It doesn\\\'t get any better than this. I took a chance with the show. I had already started watching \\\'Vanished\\\' and decided to try it out- thank goodness I did. It is much better than \\\'Vanished\\\', which is unfortunately not original enough for me. \\\'Vanished\\\' is too much like 24- which I like a lot but I don\\\'t want the same formula feeding. That is one reason why Kidnapped really does it for me. Another reason it that I feel like I get a good look into \\\'the life\\\' of someone in this field. The endless layers of complexity/insurance the kidnappers take in this show is astounding. I feel things like that lend credence to the reality of the plot. All of the actors are very believable, also. Jeremy, Delroy, Timothy, Dana, etc.- acting at its best. Great job as a group.moreless
  • Kidnapped Episode 5 - Amazing!

Oh yes it was, oh yes! I don't even know where to start, because there were so many scenes that really made an impression on me - but number one was the anxiety of watching Leo go for that cell phone he swiped from the doctor! I could see his hand shaking when he finally was able to call out - and yes - try to reach his parents. Yes, even Leo, who overall remains calm and resourceful, couldn't hold back his desperation. He heard the phone ringing his house and I was screaming "pick up!" with him! Brilliant episode and I'm still so excited that every episode continues to maintain the same high standards of the previous episodes - how many series can you say that about this year? Kidnapped is amazing!moreless

    • James Devere: There were so many.
      Lucien Knapp: How many?
James Devere: You are counting angels on a pin, we're talking insulation my friend, remember that...insulation. Every precaution has been taken. These are far-sighted people. There were insurance policies taken out on each one of us, yeah, and that's why I need your help.
Lucien Knapp: Why would I help you?
James Devere: There is one thing I do know but there is the matter of that insurance policy, I need you to close it for me, then I will tell you what I know.

    • Knapp: Where the hell are my rubber bullets?
Turner: In a box marked rubber bullets.

    • Leo: You think maybe you could bring me something to read?
Otto: What? You think this is a library? You want something to read?
(Otto hands Leo a chip bag)
Otto: Here. It's in Spanish. Is there anything else I could get you? Maybe you'd like to take a dip in the pool?
