Show Summary

Kidsworld is a children's television series that originally aired on TVOntario from 1978 to 1986. It is produced by Astral Television Films, Global Television and TVOntario. This series has a news show format and is anchored by Andrea Davis, Kent Frost and Sandra Pujimoto. The episodes cover general news and features that are of special interest to children. The correspondents are also children and are located in various cities in North America. Correspondents include Sean Berry, Denise Bradley, Todd Chambless, Brian Crawford, Terry Gebhart, Kerri Ann Kelleher, Grady Motes, Cassie Mulnix, James Murphy, Tony Pappas, David Planitz, Frank Romanelli, Richard Schwepker, Gena Waldrop and Nadya Walsh. The stories include documentaries such as an inspection of a submarine at Halifax naval yards and coverage of the pages in the Ontario legislature. Hard news stories include a protest march for animal rights organized by an eight year-old girl. Human-interest stories include a walking fish, roller coasters, roller skating champions, cheerleader championships and a dog driving a cow. This series also has interviews with celebrities such as Stevie Wonder, Henry Winkler, George Hamilton and Kristy McNichol. Additional people interviewed in the series include Cindy Nicholas, Maria Pallegrini, Rene Simard and Veronica Tennant.
