  • stylish show with one worrisome aspect

    7.5
This is a really nicely filmed show, starting with a striking shot of a woman in a red dress in front of a church that gets your attention. The main character is appealing and fun, and the show has a nice breezy quality to it. I have a good feeling about this series.

However, there is something that happened in it that sat wrong with me. There was one minor character who's death was completely ignored as it happened and then never mentioned. That's the sort of thing writers do out of expediency when they want an unsullied happy ending, and it felt very lazy and unrealistic. It's a small thing, but it's the kind of thing that could sour me on a show if it keeps happening. Writers should respect all their characters, even if in the structure of the show they are nothing more than cannon fodder.

I'm taking off half a point for that, but it was still quite good.

  • Quite a Good Season Premier.

Okay to be honest, i actually thought this wasn't that bad, i have seen worse and some of those shows went on to do five seasons. The main draw card for me was Tricia Helfer being a BSG fan i never really saw Tricia in anything else after that until a she did "Dark Blue" which was a great show until that got dumped after 2 or 3 seasons. Then she was guest starring in alot of TV Shows that were on my favorites list. The storyline was good, it has a great cast, but to be honest, if another network was doing this show it would be alot better. This show does not work on ABC, i hope for Tricia Helfer this show turns out to be a hit. I will watch the next episode.moreless
