This is the only episode in the entire series in which the primary villains, Warmonga and Warhok, die. The only instance that remotely relates occurs in Oh No, Yono! when Monkey Fist is turned into stone.
When Bonnie goes up to get her diploma, she pushes Ron Reeger out of the way. This means that she almost grabbed Reeger's diploma, instead of her diploma, before Mr. Barkin told her that she had to go to Summer School.
In the end credits, George Takei, who is the voice of Sensei, has his last name spelled incorrectly as "Takaii".
Shego and Drakken becoming more then just business partners is alluded in this episode when Drakken's flower wraps them together in the end.
Since Kim has a gold scarf on for her graduation, this signals that she is one of the few kids in her class with the highest overall grades.
At the end of the episode, when Kim and Ron finally graduate, Kim goes to hug her parents for a second time. Before the scene, she is in her very beat up graduation uniform. During and after it, she is in a brand new uniform.
When he is in full control of the mystical monkey powers, Ron is shown to be stronger then both Kim and Shego. This is evident in the episode Mad Dogs and Aliens where Kim and Shego each had trouble defeating Warmonga.
Technically, Kim did not save the world this time. Drakken came up with the plan to defeat the aliens, and Ron used his new-found fighting abilites.
The coffee shop where all the villains were talking in the closing tag is the same shop where Kim, Ron, and Shego were at in the episode Stop Team Go.
In this episode, the three main buildings featured thoughout the series in Middleton (Kim's house, Middleton High, and Bueno Nacho) are all destroyed by the invasion.
Warhok: Objective: total planetary domination.
Drakken: Arg! That was my objective.
Drakken: (after Kim seems to be killed by a laser) You were a worthy foe. You were indeed all that! Farewell, Kim Possible!
Kim: (standing up behind him) Hello, Drakken.
Sensei: His monkey power is strong. Booyah!
(Kim and Drakken are confined in the spacecraft prison)
Kim: Ok. Good.
Drakken: What aspect of held prisoner aboard an alien spacecraft is good?
Kim: Good is that, they are not paying attention to us. They think we are trapped here.
Drakken: Aren't we?
Kim: Not for long.
Drakken: (annoyed) Urmm. I find your youthful optimism irritating.
Kim: Would you just...
(She sees a flower tendril creeping out of Drakken's collar)
Kim: What is that?
Drakken: What is what?
Kim: On your neck.
Drakken: On my neck? Is it a bug? Get it off. Get it off!
(He sees the flower blooming on his plant tendril)
Drakken: Oh, this again.
(Petals poof around his neck)
Drakken: This is not helping.
Drakken: (to the flower Beat it!
(The flower obeys)
Drakken: Argh! Tween slang!
Kim: Your flower!
Drakken: Just because it grew on me doesn't make it my flower. It's not like I can just say, 'Flower, Attack Kim Possible', and...
(The flower attacks Kim)
(Drakken and Dementor are in a cafe after Drakken helps Kim and Ron save the world)
Dementor: You must admit that it is exquistly amusing.
Drakken: Ok, Dementor, I'd really rather not talk about it.
Dementor: But the irony! As a mad scientist, you have been a total failure for your entire career.
Drakken: New topic, please!
Dementor: Okay. Why the blue skin?
Drakken: Glad you asked. Funny story really. Not funny "ha ha", but it was a Tuesday...
Shego: So, you and your little plant potion are going to save world?
Drakken: That's right. This time - for the first time - victory will be mine!
Shego: Is the screaming part of your plan?
(Kim, Ron, Drakken, and Shego walk into the engine room of the ship)
Kim: (to Shego) Congratulations. You found the loudest room in the ship.
Drakken: Prepare to taste defeat... and boy is it salty!
(Ron and Shego are flying in a rocket to save Kim and Drakken)
Ron: Shego, can I ask you something?
Shego: Ah, school bus rules apply here. Don't talk to the driver.
Ron: Well, when you went from hero to villain, that must have been like...an epic change.
Shego: 'Kay, why are you still talking?
Ron: I mean, you're on a new path, with no idea what comes next...I mean wasn't that kind of...scary?
Shego: No. I don't scare.
Ron: Oh. I do.
Shego: Yeah. I've noticed.
(Ron and Shego arrive to rescue Kim and Drakken)
(The two embrace while Drakken runs to embrace Shego
(He drops arms and looks uncomfortable)
Drakken: Uh, about time you got here.
Shego: (awkwardly) Yeah, I, I've... got a lot on my... plate, now, so, you know.. just, uh...
Ron: What if Kim goes off to some "fancy-shmancy" college on the other side of the world while I'm stuck at home jocking for Smarty Mart employee of the month?
Warhok: Warhok will not be ignored!
Ron: I am with you man, but hey out of sight, out of mind, you know, she gets wrapped up in her studies I call, I text does she answer? Sorry, busy day! Its killing me!
Warhok: They found the off switch!
Warmonga: Long have I questioned the wisdom of that accursed switch!
(After Ron takes down Warhok and Warmonga)
Drakken: Wait. What happened? What did I miss?
Shego: I don't know, but I think the sidekick just stepped up.....monkey style.
Drakken: Monkey style? What's that?
Shego: You had to be here.
(Kim has just been abducted by the aliens)
Ron: If Kim's lost in the stars, I'm finding her.
(Drakken has a blank stare on his face)
Ron: Dude, you okay?
Shego: Dr. D?
Drakken: My mind. It's racing. It's uncanny. I see every detail.
Kim: Of what?
Drakken: My greatest plan ever!
Ron: To save the world?
Drakken: Do not make me say those words!
(Ron is having a hard time flying due to having Drakken on his back)
Ron: The piggyback thing really drags down my coolness.
Drakken: Well, pardon me. Not all of us have the power of flight.
Ron: Oh, complain, complain. You know, when life gives you lemons...
Drakken: I complain about the lemons!
(Kim and the others are escaping the spaceship when they come face to face with Warhok and Warmonga)
Warhok: (sees Kim) You! (sees Shego) And...
Shego: You must be Mr. Warmonga.
Warmonga: (to Warhok) She is the blue imposter's battlemate.
Shego: Whoa! Time out! (points to Kim and Ron) Yeah, the two teens are a thing, but there is nothing going on with me and Dr. D.
Warmonga: Then why were you so threatened by my arrival?
Shego: I don't know, maybe cause you're nine feet tall?!
Warhok: Denial. It's more than just a river on the planet which we now rule.
Ron: I wish I felt more ready.
Kim: I don't like Drakken being the Earth's last hope either, but...
(Kim and Ron separate to avoid laserfire)
Ron: No, I'm talking about graduation. And, us, and what comes after. This whole thing has shown me that I can't live without you.
(Kim flips the speeder she is riding around to evade laserfire from above)
Kim: Ron, please, get a grip, nothing is going to separate us.
(She grabs his hand)
Kim: Except that.
(We see a huge machine fall into the ocean as they each go on opposite sides of it)
This episode, the series finale, aired exactly five years and three months after the series premiere on June 7, 2002.
This episode aired on Toon Disney's Most Impossible Kim Possible Marathon on April 12th, 2008.
The final two episodes of season four aired on Disney Channel Australia on February 1st, 2008 as a part of a Kim Possible double episode special.
This episode's premiere was ecliped by a 54-hour megathon on Disney Channel in which every single episode and movie in the series was shown.
During the fight sequence where Ron sees Kim in danger and his power explodes into a rage, this is similar to Gohan in Dragonball Z Cell Saga where Cell destroys one of the androids. His power exploded out in rage to become a Super Sayian 2.
Mr. Dr. P.:
When Kim's dad mentions FanFics, he is refering to one of the authors registered at FanFiction.net going by the username of Mr. Dr. P.. This user also had the privilege of dining with the series' writers and director.
Shego and Ron using the garbage chute as a cover to enter the alien ship is a reference to Han Solo using it to escape from a Star Destroyer with the Millenium Falcon in Star Wars.
War of the Worlds:
The alien invasion machines that destroyed the majority of Middleton look similar to those in the recent film adaptation of War of the Worlds. The only difference is that the ones in that movie only have three legs, while the ones here have four legs.
At the end of the episode, when Kim and Ron leave the beach by flying into the sky with Kim's car, is a direct reference to the ending of Grease, where the two main characters do the same thing, only there is no logical explanation for the reason why their car takes flight in that film.
Warhok: Denial, it's not just a river on the planet we call...
This is part of a quote said by Mark Twain: "Denial, it's not just a river in Egypt".
