  • A Mother's Day to remember

Kim and her mom haven't had some mother daughter time in a while. Mr. Dr. Possible deals with the twins so that mom and daughter can have time together. So they decide to spend a day together and what better day than Mother's Day? But duty calls for Kim as Drakken is once again trying to steal a special matter eating synthol. This time rather than Ron it is Kim's mom who accompanies Kim on her mission to thwart Drakken's theft on a train. However Drakken is also entertaining his mother and trying to get her to think that he is on an outing/picnic. She thinks that her son is a radio show shrink but blissfully unaware that he is in reality some villain bent on world domination. His mother not only embarrasses him in front of Shego and a couple of henchmen but spoils the plan by opening and activating the substance that begins consuming material and growing. Fortunately Mrs. Dr. Possible's surgery skills come in to save the day more than once. Ultimately Drakken is foiled by his own mother in order to preserve the secret him being villain bent on world conquest. Later they send the matter eating mess to the Stoppable residence where it eats all the junk in the garage and thus providing Ron's mom with a gift of a clean/empty garage (except for that blasted garden gnome that haunted him during his childhood).

  • Mothers and missions!

Just when Kim and Ron got back from foiling Drakken adn Shego, htey get calls from their moms about Mothers' Day! Mrs. Stoppable wanted Ron to stay home a clean the garage, but Ron tries to change her mind saying that it the impossible, but she doesn't buy it and makes him clean anyway. Kim and Mrs. Possible promised to spend the entire day together, no matter what! So Kim helps her mom with brian surgery, and when Wade calls in, Mrs. Possible wants to help. Meanwhile, after Drakken and Shego return from the failed plan, they find out that Drakken's mom, Mrs. Lipsky, somehow found the laair. Drakken tries cover things up by saying that he's a radio talk show host, and not a super villain. Drakken works around the fact that he has to help out his own mother, while trying to take over the world. While Kim is trying to save the world along side with her mom. When these two meet up with each others, thing get out of hand. Drakken's trying to hide the fact that he's a bad man, and saying that he's 'helping' them, and Mrs. Possible feels out of place on the mission. Mrs. Lipsky ends up letting an experimnet out, and then things goes really crazy. Drakken, Shego, and Mrs. Lipsky run away as fast as they could go. But luckly, Kim and Mrs. Possible stop hte crazy slop. Ron finds a job for the slop, by having it eat the trash in the garage.
  • Momma said there'd be days like this...

Kim promised to spend the whole day with her mother, but a mission comes up. Drakken is after an experiment which is being transported by train. Unfortunately, Ron is stuck cleaning out his garage (it's his mother's present), so guess who has to accompany Kim?

This is somewhat similar to "Bad Boy" in that a decent idea gets buried in filler. Now, don't get me wrong: it's nice to see the mothers of Team Possible and there's a great gag referencing "Tetris". Unfortunately, the strengths are outweighed by the weaknesses: the action plot becomes dull after a while, and the whole 'Ron is afraid of ________' spiel (this time involving a garden gnome) just smacks of lazy writing (as always).

But these are perfectly forgivable in light of the episode's biggest debit: Mama Lipsky. Some people might find her funny, but I feel that her overly doting nature and naivete at her son's true intentions suck out what little life the episode has. For a much funnier character voiced by Estelle Harris, try Mrs. Potato Head in "Toy Story 2" or Lula on "Dave the Barbarian".

Watching "Mother's Day" is not the best way to spend Mother's Day.
