    • Hank (about Bobby's protesting and how Hank thinks it should be a last resort): Bobby, do you want to end up like George Clooney?
      Bobby: (slowly) ...No....

    • Dale: Somebody say something immortal
Hank: Well, I was at the grocery store yesterday
Dale: This is gonna be good!
Hank: I said to the cashier, 'usually I give a penny, but today I'm gonna take a penny'
Dale (let down): I'm just gonna take that out...

    • Bill: In a perfect world, I'd have longer arms so I could shave my back.
Hank: In a perfect world, you'd have no back hair!

    • (Principal Moss is collecting money from the vending machine when Bobby comes up)
Principal Moss: What're you thirstin' for, Bobby? Cherry cola?
Bobby: I need something dignified. What do you have in the mister or doctor variety?

    • (The guys are in the alley and Dale has a notebook for quotes)
Dale: Okay - somebody say something immortal!
Hank: Well, I was at the grocery store yesterday
Dale: Ohh this is gonna be good! You say great things to clerks! Continue...
Hank: Well I told the cashier, 'Usually I give a penny, but today I'm gonna take a penny.'
Dale: Eh? (Starts erasing) We can just get rid of that.

    • Bobby: It seems like everyone's pairing up - whatever happened to keepin' it casual?
Joseph: Yeah! And everybody's always makin' out! And I'm late for class because I'm always watching.

    • Bobby: (to soda can) At least you're always here for me.

    • Connie: (about Russ, her study partner) He's brilliant. But he's got the good looks of someone much dumber.

  • Notes

  • Allusions

    • When the kids are chanting "The kids, united, will never be divided", it is a play on the famous worker cry "The PEOPLE, united, will never be divided".

    • The episode title is an allusion to the 1979 Sally Field movie Norma Rae, which is about a woman who gets involved in union activities.
