In the episode "Bobby Rae" (Season 12, episode 2), Bobby becomes an activist and gets rid of the soda machines, yet they are back at Tom Landry Middle School in this episode.
When Hank is standing in the alley after he calls the owner of the wallet, he complains that the man hasn't called him back. However, Hank did not leave his phone number in the message he left, and did not give his last name, so there would be no way for the man to get Hank's number.
Officer Brown: I'm glad you talked me into taking out the ol' squad car. Those truants are gonna soil themselves when they see this baby coming.
Bobby: Yeah (Hank and co. go speeding by pursued by Bill). Hey, that's my dad's truck! He ran a red light. Something's wrong. He's speeding! (gasps) Somebody's after my dad!
Officer Brown: Oh, my God, it's a high-speed chase.
Bobby: We've got to pursue!
Hank: So this is where Barry Rollins lives.
Bill: Mm. I hate showing up empty-handed. We really should've brought wine.
Bobby: Bobby Hill, reporting for duty!
Officer Brown: (bored) Fine, have a seat.
(Bobby sits down. An awkward silence.)
Bobby: So, when do we get to round up some perps?
Officer Brown: We don't. Sure, I used to shoot people and see dead bodies and stuff, but those were happier times.
Hank: A man's wallet is a personal thing. It's like money-filled underwear.
Dale: Do you have darts tipped with poison?
Hank: (gives Dale a bad look)
Dale: Darts tipped with anything?
Dale: Well you're not giving me much to work with, but I'll come up with something.
Officer Brown: I tell you Bobby, it's just nice to have some suspects!
Dooley: I'm a suspect.
In this episode Dale gets a job at "Bazooms" which is a take-off on the restaurant chain "Hooters".
The title is an allusion to the popular term "Cops and Robbers".
