Seriously. Why do the writers always gravitate towards the stupidest characters? Dale is hardly as funny as they want us to think he is.

Case in point, the episode "Manger Babies Einstein" had a minor subplot where Dale suddenly decides to become a book writer even though he's no good at it, and it had no relevance to the main plot. So when he gives the story to Luanne and she steals it, he MURDERS the Manger Babies (expect for Gurgle). What a moron!

Dale has always been too much of a pain, and always gets away with it. He picks on Bill the most, and has victimized Hank too, like driving Hank to anger management, even though he vandalizes and trespasses on his property all the time.

The world won't really care when this show finally ends, and really, I think it's overdue. I get tired of these animated sitcoms hueing towards the worst and tiresome material, like Family Guy becoming The Stewie Griffin Show.

Not much of a fan of King of the Hill though the few times I've ever witnessed a scene that was particularly humorous was when he was the source.

true, although i thought when dale did murder the manger babies was funny, i think the point of that was to remind everyone of the schitzophrenia (sp?) paranoid, clueless, insane, cool, messed up, smart & dumb, alien believing, karate chopping, bug killing, funny Dale that they haven't shown in a while who's always prepared for an attack or the end of the world...

About what Nacy and Redcrn did to Dale; Let sleeping dogs lie.

Dale loves Joseph very much and Joseph loves Dale as his dad.

All it would accomplish is tearing Dale's heart out (it'd probably send Dale over the edge),

destroy the marriage, and confuse and seriously mess up Joseph, maybe forever.

Joseph would probably never be able to forgive his

mom Nancy, OR Redcorn who is really just a sleazy gigolo/male escort type.

Dale: Always been very romantic toward Nancy, always complimenting her.

Helped Redcorn get 12 acres of land.

Apologized to Redcorn on behalf of all white people.

Does everything he can for Joseph

I could have left this alone until I read the part about how this show should end soon. It ended tonight and I hate it. There is no way that I would ever compare King of the Hill to Family Guy. Yes, I watch both, but for different reasons. Family Guy is funny, but never anything I could get attached to watching because it's just random, and I don't thing any Family Guy fan would disagree with that. I watch King of the Hill for the reason that it's "real". What I mean by real is that "Yes, it's animated, but it's not cartoony(if that is excepted as a word)". I understand that a lot of coincidences and unlikely things happen in the episodes, but I've never seen a sitcom without that. That's how the storyline has to work. And as for Dale being thrown in there as a stupid character, without always pertaining to the plot, again, that's how sitcoms work. You always have your main action and your loosely tied in side story. As for Dales stupidity, how about I tie you into reality. There are plenty of people in this world that stupid. For the part about Nancy/Dale/Redcorn, the series finale finished the story very well. Everyone's story was wrapped up. In the end, Dale was massaging Nancy's temples. He said that he may not be John Redcorn, but he can do an ok job of getting rid of her headaches. The problems were fixed in their relationship without letting the cat out of the bag. If it could be fixed without ruinning anyones life, then so be it. I myself am sad that the series is ending, for I grew up watching it. Though, I think they did the best job they could in ending the series. You can never do it in a good way. For a real fan, a series never ends in a good way, but if I had to score it compared to many others, I would rate it at the top.

Dale is probably the funniest character on the show so I can't say I agree with anything you've written here.

Yeah, Dales like, "Hank you need help." or "Hank you shouldn't have let this happen", when it's his fault!

I love the cosperiter side of Dale...as for the affair I'm glad he didn't find out (after I found out Nancy got it back together). It would have crushed him and in Nancy's defense all his theroies can give anyone a headache.
