It was a good episode, but there have been better episodes this season. My favorite part was when even Luanne caught onto Hank's folly.

This episode really didn't make sense. Hank knows a lot about cars, he knows how to fix them, yet he doesn't know the value of them?? He's mircomanaged his life's finances to death; teaching Bobby the value of a dollar; but yet doesn't know anything when it comes to really expensive items like motor vehicles?? This is just has "ignore all past episodes" stink all over it. Like the Thanksgiving episode where Bobby turned into a cook and we see Peggy riding a bicycle with a turkey, only to find out "she's never learned how to ride a bike" later on. Meh.

This episode contradicts itself. Remember back when Hank got a new truck and he asked Bobby if he liked it and Bobby said yes, then Hank told him "When you get to the dealership pretend like you hate it" Indicating that Hank did know how to haggle. Also Hank says that whats-his-face is his guy, so why didn't he buy a truck from whats-his-face. KotH pulled a Simpsons.

It's not the first time, though. You may recall that Peggy's relationship with her mother has changed radically over the years, too.

That's the tragedy of a show that didn't end when it wanted to. Too many orders leads to shoddy episodes.

I can't figure out what the writers are thinking when they write nonsense like this.

I actually enjoyed this episode. While it doesn't really work within the context of the series, I think it works as a standalone episode and was decent and a nice change of pace, especially when so many episodes center around Hank always being right, even if it does have some inaccuracies.
