Why is this getting cancelled? and not American Dad? Look at the Ratings from Sunday! The Simpsons - 12.48 (6.2/15) King of the Hill - 8.60 (4.3/10) Family Guy - 9.97 (5.0/11) American Dad - 7.20 (3.7/)

That is really interesting news. It may be because of the news of its cancellation that people are watching it more. Either way I hope Fox changes their mind to make a proper ending for it.

American Dad has four seasons, King of the Hill has thirteen. KotH has gotten stale, American Dad isn't.

You're not looking between the numbers; KOTH doesn't go head-to-head with "Desperate Housewives" or "Cold Case."

Even so, it appears that KOTH's demise was a mutual decision between Fox and the show's producers.

I'm pretty sure that ratings boost was because The Simpsons had a higher than normal audience. We'll see this week whether of not it can keep that audience (my money is on no). Either way like the guy above me said it was most likely a mutual decision between FOX and the producers to end the show.
