Perhaps I am only imagining this, but it seems that they are at least a few times that Hank is accused of something or being made fun of.

Ex: First episode the people from Child Services had to investigate into making sure that he wasn't abusing Bobby after some neighbors had seen him get angry.

Ex: Peggy and most seem to have thought Hank had rent the porno videos.

EX: Ladybird attacks a black repairman so in turn Hank must be a racist.

    Happens quite a bit.

Hank is accused of burning down a car dealership.

Hank is made fun of by his friends by being too much of a 'square' and decides to moon in public only that he mistakenly moons Former Texas Governor Ann Richards.

His friends made fun of him when he cries at a chick flick. Peggy then accuses Hank's constant sobbing on the movie reminding him of his relationship with Bobby when he's really upset about his truck falling apart.

Hank is accused of being too angry and is sent to anger management.

Peggy accuses Hank of preferring Ladybird over her.

I don't know if that's really a running gag as much as it's a plot convinience. A big misunderstanding is one of the most overused plot devices in comedy.

That would have to be right it is more of a plot device. Makes me think that Hank must be too much of a nice guy.

Half the time, it's not. The one where Hank was accused of being racist and the one where he was sent to anger management were the two worst episodes in the entire series.

Naw... I'd say "The Accidental Terrorist" was worse than those two.
